MINGORA: A Pakistani man who recently married an Indian girl has sought government assistance to grant Pakistani nationality to his Indian wife.

Ijaz Khan, a resident of Swat in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), fell in love with the Indian girl two years ago through Facebook. Khan proposed her and they both got married about three months back.

The couple is currently residing in the western Indian state of Gujrat, and Khan has requested the government to award Pakistani nationality to his wife, such that he could bring her to his home town in K-P.

Chinese woman in search of 'Pakistani runaway boyfriend' held in Muzaffargarh

Earlier in September, Tein Domi alias Dolly, a 23-year-old Chinese woman, had arrived in Muzaffargarh in search of her ‘boyfriend’, Amin. Dolly arrived in Seetpur, a district in Muzaffargarh, searching for Amin after he left China without informing her. However, to her disappointment, his family refused to take her in and did not disclose his whereabouts.

Later, fearing her security, police officials took Dolly into protective custody and handed her over to the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad.
