ISLAMABAD: Civil society members on Friday underscored the need for improving the informal justice system to facilitate women of less privileged and under-developed areas of the country. Addressing a two-day session organised by Community Appraisal and Motivation Programme (CAMP), in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Rights and support of the German Federal Foreign Office, speakers highlighted the problems being faced by the women of various areas including Federally Administered Tribal Areas, through informal justice system. They were of the view that different societies living in remote and far flung areas of this country, are adopting informal justice systems. They said that all out measures should be made to bring improvement to the informal justice system under which Jirga and Panchayat are dealing with cases of the local community living in far flung and remote areas of the state.
