LAHORE:

Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday dismissed as not maintainable a petition seeking termination of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan. Muhammad Ali Gillani had submitted that Khan had held dialogues with the Indian cricket board for a Pakistan-India series in a disgraceful manner. He said the PCB chief had not taken the government into confidence before initiating official correspondence with the Board of Control for Cricket in India. This had tarnished the country’s image, Gillani said. The petitioner stated that the PCB chairman had hurt the sentiments of the entire nation by holding the dialogue in a shameful manner. He requested the court to terminate Khan from his job. The petitioner was asked to approach a relevant forum for relief.
