Zaib Gohar Ayub Khan, wife of former speaker of National Assembly Gohar Ayub Khan, passed away after a prolonged illness at a hospital in Islamabad on Friday. Her funeral will be held at 3pm on Saturday (today) in her native village, Rehana, in Haripur district. Zaib was the mother of former state minister for finance Omar Ayub Khan. Zaib was suffering from cancer for a couple of years, and was treated at local and foreign hospitals. She was an MNA during General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s regime. She was also the daughter of Lieutenant General (retd) Habibullah Khan Khattak and cousin of former QWP MPA Nasreen Khattak.
