Indian fabric manufacturer OCM in collaboration with Pakistani designer duo Sana Hashwani and Safinaz Muneer have come out with a range of shawls made of fine Marina fabric to beat the chill this winter season, reported IANS.

Featuring a combination of slub material with different patterns and fringed shawls, the range is included in OCM’s exclusive women’s section. The collection, which made its way to OCM stores earlier this month, includes shalwar kameez complemented with shawls.

“With an intention to keep you warm yet make you look glamorous, we have launched this collection as an ode to femininity and elegance and thereby, designed the collection by keeping the quintessentially timeless yet modern woman in mind,” Sana Safinaz said in a joint statement.

A leap further into fashion

“We have tried to introduce extraordinary rich and versatile styles for the chilly weather, defined by the style of shawls. The collection is an attempt to present a blend of playful feminine styles with royal cashmere wool fabric,” the statement added.

This isn’t the first time the designers have made their presence known in the Indian market. Their partnership with OCM began in September this year with the Sana Safinaz 2015 ‘Silk Collection’.

Cold start to a festive season

Sana Safinaz had earlier revealed they will begin distributing their lawn via OCM across India next year. “We’ll manufacture lawn but the retail end and distribution in India will be looked after by OCM,” Muneer had told The Express Tribune.
