Voicing Concern: PIAF disgruntled with low gas supply
Due to the suspension of gas, investment of millions, export markets and future of workers are in danger
LAHORE:
Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) Tuesday urged the government to restore gas supply to the industry. PIAF Acting President Tanveer Ahmed Sufi said that industries were already facing a number of internal and external challenges and would lose export markets. Sufi added that the proposed raise in gas tariff would create multiple problems for industrialists, while fulfilling their export commitments; therefore the government should review this decision. PIAF Vice Chairman Khawaja Shahzeb Akram said that due to the suspension of gas, investment of millions, export markets and future of workers are in danger. He appealed to the authorities concerned to restore gas supply for the industry but to not increase gas prices.
