SZABIST has recently organised the National Research Conference on Management and Business (NRCMB) based on the theme of breaking business boundaries and sharing solutions, at the Beach Luxury Hotel, Karachi. Fifty participants and 13 presenters from various fields attended the one-day conference. SZABIST Head of Management Sciences Dr. Nadeem Syed was the conference chair who welcomed chief guest, Dr. Faizullah Abbasi, Vice Chancellor, Dawood University of Engineering and Technology. Abbasi introduced the audience to a new phenomenon called ‘routine and firefighting’ which he referred to as the routine work that organizations indulge in.
