WASHINGTON: Hillary Clinton took aim at fellow White House hopeful Donald Trump over his call to ban Muslims from entering the United States, saying: "I no longer think he is funny."

Appearing on NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" later Thursday, the frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination said Trump had overstepped the mark with his latest comments.

"You know, I have to say, Seth, I no longer think he is funny," Clinton said, according to NBC News.

"I think for weeks you and everybody else were just bringing folks to hysterical laughter, but now he has gone way over the line.

"And what he is saying now is not only shameful and wrong, it is dangerous."

Trump's Muslim comments disqualify him from presidency: White House

Trump, the frontrunner for the Republican nomination, came under fire at home and abroad this week for his proposal to temporarily bar Muslims from entering the US.

It came in the wake of last week's shooting by a Muslim couple in Sen Bernardino, California, that left 14 dead.

Majority's Answer | 9 years ago | Reply "don’t try to enforce on others" No evidence you gave about this. If Muslims pray in public such as when the time of duration for offering a particular salah is just about to end, then that is no imposition on others, if that is what you are trying to hint at. Also, hijab, niqab, are part of personal (human) rights. Looking Muslim should be no offence, as long as the Muslims abide by the laws of the country they adopt. The Westerners' attitude does not allow anyone to "try to enforce on others."

Minority Report from California | 9 years ago | Reply When someone enters a foreign country and makes it their adopted country you need to have an open mind with aim to assimilate and integrate with the locals...You need to keep your Religion and religious sentiments private and confined to your your own home, don't try to enforce on others...Is it so difficult to understand??? Unfortunately a large number of Muslims around the globe have not kept up to these sensitivities and have not self disciplined their communities and hence others in the world are forced to 'Tell' them these things bluntly...Why is that only Muslims go through these so called victimization and not people following other religious faith?? And its the same story almost every non Islamic countries USS, Australia, France, Canada, Germany, UK, China, India etc..Someone needs to have the courage to tell spade a spade...At least west deals with these problems unlike China who use heavy handedness to deal with Uighur Muslims.
