BATKHELA:

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has terminated the basic party membership of its Malakand district ameer on charges of entering into an alliance with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf during the local government elections. Mufti Kifayatullah has been replaced by Maulana Hamidullah Roghani. The decision was taken at a meeting of the party’s district shura which was held on Tuesday. The new district ameer, Roghani, chaired the meeting which was attended by Maulana Fazal Manan, Shahid Khan, Ubaidur Rahman, Waris Khan, Gul Mohammad, Yousaf Jamal, Maulana Javed and Faqir Mohammad. “Such an act on the part of Mufti Kifayatullah has damaged the party,” said JUI-F Malakand General Secretary Maulana Javed. After detailed consultation and debate, the district shura decided to terminate the membership of its party leader on charges of violating party discipline as JUI-F had imposed a ban on creating an alliance with PTI. Roghani was also named as the JUI-F district ameer at the meeting.
