Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan revealed how lucky he feels to be a part of the changing trends in Bollywood, still playing lead roles like he did in his 20s.

"Earlier, at 40, a hero was not a hero. So, Salman and I were talking the other day that God has been so kind to us that we are 50, and we are still doing the same roles we did when we were 25. It's a big thing for us," PinkVilla quoted him as saying.

However, the 50-year-old added that performances are also equally important to retain your place in the entertainment industry, saying, "Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a star, but, if he doesn't perform well three times, everyone starts abusing him. So, performance is very important... or else by this time, our careers would have come to an end." He also admitted that the Indian film industry is driven by the "star system", saying: "If in IPL (Indian Premier League), we don't have stars, nobody will watch it. So, you have to have stars for people to choose films."

Confirmed: Shah Rukh Khan will enter Bigg Boss house!

SRK will be romancing Kajol in his upcoming film Dilwale, which is the most awaited film of the year. Releasing on December 18, the Rohit Shetty directorial also features actors Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Boman Irani and Johnny Lever.
