Scientists of chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology and pharmacy should enhance their role with collaborative approach to serve humanity by controlling viral diseases, as the country is facing threat of viral diseases outbreak due to climate change and other factors. This was stated by Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur vice-chancellor Dr Parveen Shah while addressing the annual function of SALU chemistry and biochemistry department on Monday. She was of the view that people should be educated regarding the precautionary measures to take in order to combat diseases and the hazardous effects of chemicals. She said that the university was taking up all possible steps to come up with solutions for the problems affecting the agricultural sector especially date palm.
