Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Central Election Commission announced names of regional coordinators for intra-party elections.
The announcement was made during a meeting held in Islamabad on Monday and was chaired by PTI intra-party chief election commissioner Tasneem Noorani, stated a press release issued on Monday.
According to notifications issued by Noorani, Dr Izharullah Baber has been appointed as coordinator for Peshawar, Dr Abdul Rasheed for southern districts and Changez Khan for the Hazara region. The handout said the appointment of the coordinator for Malakand will be announced soon.
According to PTI K-P election commissioner Rustam Shah Mohmand and K-P election coordinator Zafarullah Khan, the coordinators will be responsible for recruiting members in their districts prior to the elections and will also monitor the election process. The process to recruit members will begin soon in the province.
