Timely assistance: Solar plants provided to Chitral hospitals
Shah also said Pakistan Army was utilising its resources for the rehabilitation of flood and earthquake victims

Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) provided solar power plants to the health department in a ceremony held at the Chitral Scouts Headquarters on Saturday. This was done to restore power to hospitals in upper parts of Chiral that were confronted with power issues after Reshun hydal power was washed away by recent floods.
Chitral Scouts Commandant Colonel Nizamuddin Shah handed power plants to district health officer Dr Israrullah and several district councillors from the affected areas.
During his address on the occasion, Shah appreciated the efforts of SRSP, its hydal power generation projects and expressed gratitude to the programme’s chief executive officer Shehzada Masoodul Mulk. He said after severe floods in the district, power supply to the hospitals of Chitral was suspended and the staff and patients were suffering on a daily basis. “SRSP personnel worked diligently to provide electricity to the many hospitals, including those in Boni and Warijoon,” he added.

The local government members present on the occasion also thanked SRSP for its contribution for the betterment of the people of the district. The SRSP internal auditor engineer Khadamullah was also present on the occasion.
