Media should spread awareness about the calamitous outcomes of deforestation
TURBAT: Trees provide a major layer of protection to life on earth. However, what we see in Pakistan is that huge tracts of land are being ruthlessly cleared of tree cover. Deforestation has created several problems for the inhabitants of our planet. However, the present phenomenon of cutting tress for the sake of industrialisation has caused a drastic rise in temperatures, giving way to global warming.
Above all, the climate change occurring due to deforestation, has caused deadly heatwaves, which have killed countless people in several countries, including our own. It is my request to the media and the authorities concerned to spread awareness about the calamitous outcomes of deforestation.
