Highhanded: Action sought against motorway cop

Imran said the light had gone out of order only a few minutes ago

LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge on Friday sought comments from the Sherakot SHO on a petition filed by a man seeking registration of a case against a Motorway Police inspector for alleged high-handedness. Muhammad Imran submitted that a few days ago he and his family were on their way to Faisalabad when Inspector Nadeem stopped them saying that the car’s headlight was not functioning. Imran said the light had gone out of order only a few minutes ago. He said when the officer was asked to let them go, he had snatched a laptop and cash from them and humiliated them.
