A four-year-old boy died after falling into an open manhole while playing in front of his house in Dera Ghazi Khan on Monday. Police said four-year-old Muhammad Ahmad was playing in front of his house when he slipped and fell into an open manhole. A case has been registered with the Civil Lines police against the tehsil municipal officer, the EXEN and a sub-engineer on an application filed by the boy’s family. Residents of the colony held a protest demonstration on Tuesday in front of the TMA office against the municipal corporation’s negligence. The boy’s father Fida Hussain said Ahmad was his only son and the TMA was responsible for his death.
