
A curfew will be imposed in Bannu after 5pm on Wednesday (today) in connection with the procession for the chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). A police official told The Express Tribune, the procession will be taken out on Thursday. “A curfew will be imposed in the city to ensure security,” he said. “It will be imposed until Thursday evening.” He urged traders to wrap up their businesses earlier than usual on Wednesday. “Citizens should refrain from leaving their houses,” he said. “Action will be taken against anyone who violates these orders.”
