As Islamophobic attacks spike in the aftermath of the deadly Paris attacks, statistics shows of all attacks on US soil two-thirds of deaths have been caused by “right-wing” attackers.

David Sterman, the senior programme associate at the New America Foundation, while speaking to Vox said, “There is a conventional wisdom that terrorism in the US is the province of foreigners and is seen as a problem of infiltration.”

“And while there is certainly a reason for that perception, as the September 11 attacks were conducted by people who came in from abroad, in the 330 cases we’ve examined since September 11, we found 80 per cent are US citizens,” he added.

Sterman’s statement is in stark contrast to comments made by Republican politicians calling for the prevention of Syrian Muslim refugees from entering the United States for fear of Paris-style terrorist attacks.

Filmmaker and author, Michael Moore, also tweeted against the rampant Islamophobia in the USA. "Thanksgiving weekend is over, and after all those warnings about Muslims, the one terrorist incident of the weekend is a white hater in Colorado,” he said.

A recent example of terrorism perpetrated by a white US man is the shooting at an abortion clinic in Colorado. Robert Lewis Dear, 57, is believed to have entered the Planned Parenthood clinic with a high-powered rifle on Friday and fire on police and civilians outside the building.

Dear allegedly shot and killed three people, including a police officer, and wounded five others, Colorado officials said.

Carl | 8 years ago | Reply Yes white racist, have been and are a problem in this country. As well as the raise of Black racist through segregationist and black Nationalist movement in this county. Radical Islam as well, all over it is a Problem. Here is the difference Radical Islam is an International Terrorist threat, that looks to destroy western civilization, and conquer with a world wide caliphate. Why bring problems home, when you have enough problems at home. You can limit immigration into the country of Radical Islam. You can not kick out or strip citizenship once they are here. or are here. The News media looks more at White racism that envelopes this nation. But hardly a News Article on Black racism. Why is that, are we just turning a blind eye to black racism movement. Look what is going on with Black segregationist on College campuses. Demanding Black only space on College campuses. If they were a white segregationist movement, it would be condemned by News media, and the general public. Black segregationist are getting their black only space on college campuses; through out America. All this Hate needs to be addressed. Islamic Terrorist is and will always be the bigger problem that this country will face. Racism is not an exclusive phenomena to the United States, as some believe. It is world wide, Try India cast system, they do Have Muslims extremist too. It is all over, and interracial Racism is alive an well world wide. It not just Americans that have Racism, Try the Roma In Europe, and European Racism toward the Roma. Almost every nation that shares its country with multicultural people have some from of Racism within. Even the ones like Japan, with more of a homogeneous society have racism towards others. China has it too, any all countries Have racism. But one thing the world has in almost every country in the world. Is Radical Islamic Terrorist, and they are following a religious dictates that a very Large minority Follow would wide. As well as a very Large Majority that sympathizes with Radical Islam terrorist. That is the Real threat to America and the world. You don't have KKK going Mexico, or china, Russia. etc.
