“Media houses should come forward and play their role in promoting a positive image of Pakistan,” said National Assembly Member (MNA) Hamza Shahbaz Sharif on Monday.
He was inaugurating a two-day Express Home Expo at Faletti’s Hotel.
Hamza visited several stalls and lauded the efforts of Express Media Group.
“The Express Media Group has given young entrepreneurs a chance to exhibit their products,” he said.
As many as 60 companies have established stalls at the exhibition.
“I am happy with the Express Media Group for its support for young entrepreneurs,” he said. Hamza said he was delighted to notice that most of the entrepreneurs who had displayed their products were quite young.

“They represent a positive image of Pakistan which is often overlooked,” he said. Hamza said the role of the governments across the world was changing.
“They now act like companies that facilitate investment, businesses and growth in their countries,” he said.
Hamza said the PML-N was also trying to evolve a similar approach to governance. “The metro bus project has been a huge success because a business company is taking care of it,” he said.
He said soon enough the metro train would be facilitating people in the city.
“Our government is providing a conducive environment for growth. This is why foreign investors are coming to Pakistan,” Hamza said. Hamza Shahbaz said the youth were an asset for the nation and the government was taking important steps to protect their future.
He said the government was working hard on resolving the energy crisis by 2017-18.

“Once load shedding is eliminated from the country, the industry will grow and there will be greater prosperity,” he added.
He was presented a Sindhi ajrak on the occasion as a souvenir and a shield.
A large number of citizens showed up at the exhibition and took great interest in the stalls.
“This expo is a great opportunity for us to learn about various companies and their products under one roof. The range of participating companies is quite broad,” said Haseeb Ahmad, one of the visitors.
“This expo is an excellent effort by the Express Media Group. It has provided us with a rare chance to learn about so many companies and the products and the services offered by them. Such expos are also interesting for citizens. We are grateful to the Express Media Group for organising it,” said Mehwish Khan, another visitor at the expo.
The expo will conclude on Tuesday (today).
