JAMRUD:

A dispute over property which claimed the life of a man took a new turn when one of the two warring families denied any involvement in the killing.

Badshah Khan held a press conference at Jamrud Press Club and said, “A property dispute was running between me and Gul Khan. A few days ago, we decided to settle the matter and agreed to meet at the site of the disputed property at night.” He said, adding that during negotiations, someone took advantage of the dark and opened fire on Gul Khan and the man was killed.

“The killing has nothing to do with me or my family and we are still unaware who murdered Gul Khan,” he claimed. “The police have arrested two of our relatives, but I suspect the involvement of a third party in this incident. If I or anyone from my family had killed him, we would not have attended his funeral. I demand the political administration release our family members as they are innocent.”
