PESHAWAR: The agency surgeon and medical superintendent of Agency Headquarters Hospital Wana, South Waziristan, have been suspended by Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad for keeping the facility in unhygienic condition and leaving patients’ grievances unresolved.

The governor visited the hospital where elderly women, patients and locals told him about the state of facilities and submitted their complaints against the hospital administration.  He directed officials to improve the condition of the hospital without further delay. Patients at the facility were surprised and pleased at the same time to have the governor among them.

He added construction work on the Wana to Sholam bypass road will soon be initiated.
