Tribal leader injured, one killed in IED blast in Mohmand Agency
Security forces have cordoned off the area as a search operation has commenced in the area
SHABQADAR:
A tribal leader was injured while a passerby was killed in an improvised explosive devices (IED) blast in Mohmand Agency on Saturday.
"The tribal leader, Malik Hazrat Noor, was driving by when the road side IED went off. As a result of the blast, a passerby was killed on the spot, while Noor received severe injuries," a political administration officer of lower Mohmand Agency confirmed.
One killed, three injured in Bajaur Agency blast
"No group has claimed responsibility for the attack thus far," the official said, while adding that the deceased and the injured were shifted to Peshawar from Mohmand Agency.

Earlier in August, an explosion in Bajaur Agency’s Khar area killed a tribal leader while three others, including a minor, received injuries.
According to initial reports, the explosion was caused by an IED at the agency headquarters of Bajaur Agency.
