A form of a proportional representation has been opted for by Nepal as per its new Constitution

ISLAMABAD: A form of a proportional representation has been opted for by Nepal as per its new Constitution. It is hoped that this systemic change will be noticed by our Parliamentary Committee for Electoral Reforms.

A form of such a system was proposed in 1995 by the renowned German psephologist Dieter Nohlen in his book, Electoral System: Options for Pakistan to enhance the legitimacy and efficiency of our democracy.
