People need to know that getting vaccinated is not against our religion or culture
TURBAT: The World Polio Day was recently observed on October 24. Unfortunately, Pakistan remains one of the few countries where the polio virus remains endemic, but efforts to eradicate the disease have been severely hindered. Furthermore, the cases reported in Pakistan are often in families who avoid vaccination thinking it sacrilegious.
Polio vaccination teams need to create awareness about the importance of getting children vaccinated against the disease. People need to know that getting vaccinated is not against our religion or culture. Let’s save our future generations from this crippling disease.
