Prompt response of the civil and military leadership and a sense of unity among the people are worthy of appreciation
LAHORE: The massive earthquake that shook many areas of Pakistan while severely frightening the public has reminded all of the devastation of the 2005 earthquake that silenced thousands of lives. The only positive outcome of the previous earthquake was the exemplary unity shown by all Pakistanis for their brethren in distress.
Similar unity can be seen in this instance as well. The prompt response of the civil and military leadership, the rapid action of the departments concerned, the willing cooperation between federal and provincial governments and a sense of unity among the people are worthy of the highest esteem and appreciation. The federal government and the brave soldiers of the armed forces should continue their humanitarian work in earthquake-hit areas for the complete rehabilitation of the affected people.
