TURBA: Turbat is the second-most populated area of Balochistan yet the seating in the Daewoo bus service for the city is inadequate. Firstly, there is unequal seating for men and women and the seats are arranged parallel to each other, making the experience of travelling in these buses an uncomfortable one for women.
Secondly, the small buses compel men to stand uncomfortably close to the women’s seating area and the entire area meant for differently-abled persons. Also, there is little space between seats on these buses, showing a lack of planning and concern for passenger comfort on the part of the bus manufacturers and those who operate the bus service. There should be more space between the seats and women and men should be able to sit in a relaxed manner while travelling. The authorities concerned are requested to resolve this matter.
