Ghost teachers

Letter October 15, 2015
Many of these ghost teachers draw monthly salaries while sitting at home without having performed their duties

TURBAT: The presence of ghost teachers has led to 5,000 schools being closed in Sindh. This is a really shameful state of affairs. Teachers are supposed to be guides that can help children learn and prosper in life through educating them. If these individuals themselves indulge in corruption, what hope is there for our future generations?

Many of these ghost teachers draw monthly salaries while sitting at home without having performed their duties. I request the authorities concerned to kindly bring unethical teachers who are regularly absent to task and replace them.
