Our society has many people who think that any woman or girl who wears jeans is of questionable moral character.
HYDERABAD: This is with reference to your report of December 25 titled “Rallying against rape: Clifton and DHA residents protest”. I appreciate the brave effort by the residents given that they face huge barriers. Our society has many people — in fact I would say that they are in a majority — who think that any woman or girl who wears jeans is of questionable moral character. Unfortunately, there are many women who also think in this way and when these women become mothers, this kind of obscurantist thinking is spread further.
