Investigation into the attack should be completed quickly so people can have confidence in ongoing targeted operation
KARACHI: MQM leader Rashid Godil was critically wounded after unidentified men opened fire at his vehicle near his residence. Now the state has double responsibility in bringing the perpetrators to justice. On the one hand, this was a targeted attack on a political party leader, which itself is a serious issue. On the other hand, this also raises questions on the claims regarding restoration of peace in Karachi.
The investigation into the attack should be completed quickly so that people can have confidence in the ongoing targeted operation in Karachi.
