We should always support and encourage our players because this is the only way they will gain the confidence
TURBAT: It was heartbreaking when Pakistan was whitewashed recently by the Bangladesh cricket team, with fans and players alike completely disheartened at such a poor result. The subsequent wins against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka weren’t exactly walks in the park either. If Pakistan had lost these series too, their chances of playing the Champion’s Trophy would definitely have slipped out of their hands. Winning against both these teams was their only chance of qualifying for the Champion’s Trophy.
After coming into form, Pakistan played some outstanding cricket against Sri Lanka in all the three formats. After a gap of nine years we have finally been able to defeat Sri Lanka in their home ground, which was incredible. This shows the immense improvement made by our players, as well as their hard work. All bowlers and batsmen tried their best to beat Sri Lanka and their struggles granted them victory. We should always support and encourage our players because this is the only way they will gain the confidence to strive to make their fans happy and give the national team the status and reputation it previously enjoyed in the international arena.
