Ignored Sarfraz

There should be accountability of the team management, including the captain and the coach

KECH: Sarfraz Ahmed, who is currently one of the best players in the Pakistan cricket team, was ignored in the Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka by the coach and the captain, despite being the vice-captain. Though Pakistan won the series in his absence, the win in the last match was really a miracle since the batsmen in the top and middle orders could not perform.

It was only the heroics of the lower order that saved Pakistan. Fans should not forget the dismal batting performance in the euphoria surrounding the win. There should be accountability of the team management, including the captain and the coach, and they should be questioned as to why a match-winner like Sarfraz was sidelined despite his good performance in all formats.
