Tackling corruption

Letter July 22, 2015
It is worrying that the government has done nothing in this regard and corruption continues to flourish

TURBAT: In Pakistan, corruption in politics is rampant. The real issue is that nothing is being done by the government to root out this menace. If the country’s politicians remain oblivious to the harm that corruption has done to our polity, then what will be the future of our nation?

Citizens expect politicians to work towards the betterment of the country. A politician’s job is to change faulty systems, which can be found in abundance in our country and which enable corruption to take place. It is worrying that the government has done nothing in this regard and corruption continues to flourish.
