The route permitted for the procession was agreed to by Jinnah himself in 1948.
KARACHI: This is in reference to the article “A day of mourning” by Batool Zehra published on December 17. I applaud the writer because she has done well in trying to rebut the view taken by many people that because of security threats, such processions should not be taken out in the first place.
Those who take part in the processions do not approve of shutting down streets and causing problems to the general public, but it should be kept in mind that the route permitted for the procession was agreed to by Jinnah himself in 1948.
