PORTLAND, ME, US: This is with reference to a report in your newspaper titled “NGO in court for child trafficking”. I would like to know the reasons for child traffickers in Pakistan are not being brought to justice. I was in there one year ago to gain custody of a very dear little girl. I was told her mother had died and her father could not care for her. I was presented with her birth certificate and her mother’s death certificate but it turned out that both were fake.
After six weeks of spending time with this lovely girl, whom I fell in love with, I had to leave her there because the FIA said her mother was actually alive. The two men who were involved in this scam were not really brought to justice. One of them spent a year in jail and only because he was awaiting trial and that too concluded in him being exonerated of any wrongdoing. His partner did not have to spend a day in jail, because he wasn’t even charged with anything. I, however, lost 35,000 dollars of my hard-earned money. Where is the justice in all of this?
