A tax like the RGST is more successful than other forms of tax collection and this has been proven the world over.
CHENNAI: I write with reference to Khurram Husain’s article of December 16 “Holding the economy hostage”. The fact of the matter is that a tax like the reformed GST, which is another form of VAT, is more successful than other forms of tax collection and this has been proven the world over.
Pakistan’s print and electronic media need to drive this point with greater clarity and strength because such a tax is in the country’s interest.
