Imagining peace

Letter June 08, 2015
It is time for the government to come up with a robust policy to restore peace in the country

KARACHI: Pakistan is stuck in a quagmire. Never-ending dreadful acts and intermittent border clashes have plunged the country into a state of wretchedness and despair. Moreover, lacklustre and apathetic attitudes and lethargic policymaking on the part of those at the helm have added fuel to the fire.

It is time for the government to come up with a robust policy to restore peace in the country. It should check the spread of hatred. Moreover, people of all faiths and cultures have to unite to get rid of the monster of terrorism. This is the only way to make the long-cherished dream of peace come true.
