We can link Jinnah Terminal with terminal 1, the old airport, and expand it, along with improving the infrastructure
KARACHI: Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport is the largest international airport in Pakistan. However, comparing it with international airports around the world, there is great room for improvement. Suggestions are as follows.
We can link Jinnah Terminal with terminal 1, the old airport, and expand it, along with improving the infrastructure and services inside. Renovations are required as the belts and counters are outdated. The same restaurants that have been operating since ages are still operating. There is room for more multinational brands to open up their outlets. Cafes, souvenir shops and the duty-free stores should be welcomed.
The first impression is the last impression; for the visitors from abroad entering the country, airports in general reflect the management and atmosphere outside — hence, there is a dire need to update ours.
