The rate at which we are damaging Earth, attempts to bring awareness to the people should occur more frequently
KARACHI: World Environment Day is observed every year on June 5 to raise global awareness about taking positive actions to protect nature and planet Earth. This day has been celebrated since 1972. This year, the theme of World Environment Day is “Seven Billion Dreams. One planet. Consume with care”.
We are brutally destroying our planet. It is necessary to follow the idea behind observing this day all year long instead of just having one day to spread awareness. Given the important message of World Environment Day and the rate at which we are damaging Earth, attempts to bring awareness to the people should occur more frequently, otherwise people will forget and undermine the significance of protecting the environment.
