NAP in Kasur

Letter May 15, 2015
The NAP seems to be dead if we move just a few kilometres away from Lahore

LAHORE: I recently visited the Baba Bulleh Shah tomb in Kasur. There, I was surprised to see the flag of a banned outfit placed along its wall. Sufi shrines have been targeted by terrorists and this finding should be investigated by authorities. After implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP), one should not expect such ineptness from the authorities. The NAP seems to be dead if we move just a few kilometres away from Lahore. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that he will supervise the Plan himself, but the Karachi incident speaks otherwise.

I request the chief minister of Punjab and the inspector general of the Punjab Police to question the administration of Kasur about the matter.
