We need to be connected to nature, just as much as we need the luxuries of modern life
VEHARI: Spring is a lovely season which we often take for granted amidst the hustle and bustle of life. Along with a beautiful array of seasonal fruits and flowers, farmers look forward to this season all year round as it promises them a good yield. In most areas, and especially in the rural ones, there is an excellent scent of blossoms.
Spring is a season of charming sounds. The trill of feathered creatures that sing sweet songs to welcome spring. Swarms of honey bees move from flower to flower to gather nectar for nectar-making. They buzz around the blossoming petals. The earth looks like a green rug. This greenery sustains us and gives a sparkle to our eyes. The trees also wear new fabrics of green.
But sadly, the stone and concrete, smoke and dirt of our urban life deprives us of these pleasures. There should be a way to preserve the charms of spring while developing human civilisation. We need to be connected to nature, just as much as we need the luxuries of modern life.
