The first MQM councillor, the first MNA and the first MPA from NA-246 have all passed away
KARACHI: This is with reference to Kamal Siddiqi’s article of April 20 “The crown of Karachi”. I read his column with interest, and he rightly pointed out very important issues of revenue collection and its allocation for spending.
I remember that the first time I voted, after having attained voting age, was in NA-246 constituency, with the MQM emerging on the political map of Karachi from its students wing APMSO. An interesting fact is that from this constituency, the first MQM councillor, the first MNA and the first MPA (Zahid Akhter, Imran Farooq and Badar Iqbal) have all passed away!
