How much effort does it take to switch street lights off at the right time?
KARACHI: I am a resident of Liaquatabad No 10 in Karachi. It is so common in my area to see street lights that are switched on during daytime. In a city which is in the grip of power shortage and load-shedding, the recklessness on the part of the authorities is absolutely unbelievable. How much effort does it take to switch street lights off at the right time?
Recently, these street lights had been constantly on for four days straight. It is very sad that K-Electric often tells people that the power cut is due to the kunda system in their localities, when the organisation is itself being careless. Some introspection by the organisation is necessary.
