We cannot afford to commit a blunder at this stage of our national life & should stay away from the conflict in Yemen
HYDERABAD: Lately, there has been a heated argument in the media whether Pakistani troops should be committed to fight alongside Saudi forces in Yemen or not. The majority opinion in Pakistan seems to be that we must learn from our history. We have paid a high price in the past for our participation in proxy wars. We have been facing myriad of battles for over a decade now, such as continued ethnic and sectarian conflicts.
There is enough danger of a blowback from this sectarian conflict from our own soil as well. We cannot afford to commit a blunder at this stage of our national life and should stay away from the conflict in Yemen.
