A case for suo motu notice (III)

Letter December 05, 2010
People such as the cleric should be brought to book by the government.

ROCKVILLE, MD, US: People such as the cleric who has offered half a million rupees for Aasia Bibi’s execution, have destroyed the very soul of Pakistan and should be brought to book by the government.

The trouble with modern-day Pakistan is, with its medieval problems, is that the state has allowed ignorance to create an aura of fear and antagonism in society. It would be interesting to ascertain where the said cleric is getting the strength to publicly call for a woman’s execution from.

In this day and age, Pakistan is pathetically lagging with the rest of the modern world. Globally as well in Pakistan’s neighbourhood (a good example being India), countries are doing well enough to be talked about in positive light to improve their national outlook. Pakistan, on the other hand, finds itself in an abyss.
