After the publication of the news, someone left Rs2 million out of the total amount that was involved in the scam
RAHIM YAR KHAN: I want to thank your newspaper for the publication of a news item regarding the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, which revealed a scam of Rs6.5 million. The news item was dated February 9, 2015. After the publication of the news, someone left Rs2 million out of the total amount that was involved in the scam, in the accounts’ section’s bathroom at the university. It seems that the publication of the news scared the culprits into giving up some of the money. However, no action has so far been taken by the university administration against the culprits.
I request the vice-chancellor of the university to properly investigate the fraud and take action against the culprits.
