If a referendum is held in Kashmir and the Kashmiri people vote in favour of Pakistan
SKARDU: The United Nations has long termed a referendum as a political solution of the Kashmir dispute. Jawaharlal Nehru had promised at the time of accession that a referendum will be held in Kashmir. Later, Nehru backtracked on this and the referendum was never held.
It is clear that India had never accepted the Two-Nation Theory, which is why its people are reluctant to hold a referendum in Kashmir. If a referendum is held in Kashmir and the Kashmiri people vote in favour of Pakistan, this will prove the foresight of our beloved leader, the Quaid-e-Azam. Moreover, it will strengthen the Two-Nation Theory, which became weak after the fall of Dhaka.
