Main question that pops in the head of every Pakistani is: till when will we have to bear these terrifying bomb blasts
KARACHI: The city of Shikarpur has always been famous for its sweetmeats and Sufi culture. The land of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai was, however, painted red on January 30, when extremists joined the worshippers in an imambargah and detonated a bomb amidst them, spilling innocent blood everywhere. Barely a month before this incident, just after the Peshawar attack, we were promised the best of security measures. January 30 was yet another blood-soaked day in the history of Pakistan, which took away precious lives and left many injured. This is not a sectarian issue but yet another terrorists activity perpetrated by extremists who call themselves ‘Muslims’.
The main question that pops in the head of every Pakistani is: till when will we have to bear these terrifying bomb blasts around the country? We are being trifled with. Time and again our politicians tell us that this would be the last time such a thing would happen, but the ‘last time’ never comes. As we face massacre after massacre, we know that all these reassurances are false. Every time a little hope flickers inside each of us, it is immediately extinguished by another blast.
