BALTIMORE, MD, US: I write in reference to your report of November 26 titled “Bill to amend blasphemy laws submitted in parliament”. I wish Sherry Rehman the best of luck but unfortunately we all know that nothing will happen in the end. In fact, her own government and party will not support her proposed bill, and we all know why.
The reason is that it will not want to anger the clerics and eventually any talk of even modifying the law will come to nothing.
