CHARSADDA: The PTI chief, Imran Khan, along with his new wife, Reham Khan, visited the Army Public School approximately a month after the deadly terrorist act, which resulted in the massacre of more than 130 students and some teachers. Some complaining parents protested against Imran Khan outside the school but inside the school, he was warmly welcomed by both the schoolchildren and teachers.
Imran Khan was almost sandwiched amongst the closely-tightened crowd of schoolchildren, who were taking pictures and autographs, and it was clear that he was finding it very difficult to walk among them. This goes on to show that Imran Khan is viewed as a conflicted figure in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. He is wildly popular in the province, but at the same time there are those who disagree with him. All in all, I believe that his visit was a monumental measure of his popularity and I hope that the message has been delivered.
