KARACHI: Pakistan’s health sector is among the most deprived and under-funded of fields in the country. The ready availability of spurious drugs has always posed a question mark on the performance of the health ministry.

What is needed is the employment of qualified pharmacists as drug inspectors and using them to ensure that spurious medicines are eliminated from society.
